The estate is where our family has worked, planted and waited for as long as any of us can remember.
It is not a brand story we invented. It is simply the place we come from — a slope in Kudluru, Chettalli, in Kodagu, where coffee grows in the shade of tall trees and pepper climbs the trunks beside it. What the land gives us changes with the year. We take it as it comes.
It began simply. Friends would ask, half in passing: "Coorg ah? Then coffee irukkum illa?"
So we sent coffee. Then someone asked for pepper, and we sent that too. Then the question changed shape — what else grows there?
That question became Beyond The Bean: a way to send what the estate already gives us, without changing it into something it isn't.
Pepper grows alongside the coffee rather than instead of it. Nothing is cleared to make room; things simply share the same ground.
The canopy keeps the ground cool and the mornings damp. Coffee ripens slowly here, and we let it take the time it takes.
